A total of 63.5% of paper consumed in the U.S. was recovered for recycling in 2013, according to an AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) recently issued report.

U.S. containerboard production in March increased 8.7% from February and was 3.8% higher than the same month last year, according to the recently released AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) March 2014 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report.

Stora Enso, Finland, has ordered form Valmet, Finland, an extensive rebuild for converting its Varkaus mill's PM 3 fine paper machine to produce lightweight containerboard grades.

Japrotek Vessels, a member of Vaahto Group, Finland, reports that it has received a substantial order from Valmet AB in Sweden for the design, fabrication, and site-assembly of a digester, impbin, and prefabricated tanks as part of Valmet’s new cooking plant supply to SCA’s Obbola containerboard mill in Sweden.
