Valmet will supply Valmet DNA automation systems to Shandong Sun Paper Industry Joint Stock Co., Ltd. (Sun Paper) in China. The two systems will be installed on the company's paper machine PM 39 and PM 40, enabling the lines to increase availability, production efficiency and optimize operation.

Valmet will supply automation technology to Stora Enso’s Oulu Mill in Finland. Valmet and Stora Enso share a long history of partnership and this delivery will strengthen the cooperation further. The automation orders are related to Stora Enso’s paper machine (PM 7) grade conversion project delivered by Valmet.

Stora Enso introduces Box Inc, a digital B2B marketplace for corrugated packaging made of renewable materials. Box Inc is a new platform business designed to help companies source packaging easily online, while enabling suppliers to access new customers without having to create their own digital presence.

The principles are intended to help companies design reuse and recyclability into their packaging. DS Smith’s circular design principles are: protect brands and products; use no more materials than necessary; design for supply cycle efficiency; and keep packaging materials in use.

FortisBC announced a project which will produce Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) from wood waste. In a partnership with REN Energy, FortisBC will purchase Renewable Natural Gas from their facility in Fruitvale, British Columbia. This venture takes advantage of BC’s expansive forestry sector. Even during this difficult time amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we are continuing our efforts to be accountable to all British Columbians as we seek innovative new energy solutions that advance a more environmentally and economically sustainable future.

Slovenian paper mill Vipap Videm Krško appointed Vesna Kemper new HR Director. She will be in charge of the personnel part of the restructuring in the enterprise with almost 400 employees. The company owned by the Czech group RIDG Holding wants to increase the flexibility and substitutability of current employees in order to effectively modernize production and stabilize.
