Market Roundup
Clearwater Paper Corporation (NYSE: CLW), a premier supplier of quality tissue and bleached paperboard products, today announced a preliminary update to the company’s previous outlook for second quarter 2020 Adjusted EBITDA of $45 to $55 million.

Palm Aalen will equip the new PM 5 stock preparation and paper machine with sensors and instrumentation from BTG.

Jingxing Paper, a listed Chinese papermaking company, selected Voith Paper to provide two complete stock preparation systems for its greenfield mill in Malaysia. Voith will provide the full scope of BlueLine OCC systems as a full-line supplier, including automation and Papermaking 4.0 products. The two Voith BlueLine OCC systems will be AOCC furnished and are scheduled for startup at the end of 2021, with a combined capacity of 2,400 tons/day.

Solenis is expanding production at its Ankleshwar facility in India to manufacture its next-generation Pergafast™ 425 color developer for the thermal paper market. Part of Solenis’ imaging product line, the patented Pergafast™ 425 provides additional performance capabilities as compared to the company’s well-known Pergafast™ 201 color developer.

Valmet will supply cooking and fiberline to Guangxi Sun Paper Co., Ltd’s new Beihai mill in China. The pulp mill will have a capacity of 800,000 air dried tonnes per year of bleached hardwood kraft pulp. The order is included in Valmet's orders received of the second quarter 2020. The value of the order will not be disclosed.

Containerboard/Packaging
By the end of May, Italy's paper and packaging group Pro-Gest received all permits necessary to fire up production at the company's 405,000 tpy recycled corrugated case material (RCCM) mill in Mantua.

Progroup, a manufacturer of containerboard and corrugated board, and packaging manufacturer Krystals are investing a total of £20m (€22m) at the Progroup’s PW12 corrugated sheetfeeder plant in Ellesmere Port, England, to create a packaging park.

Georgia-Pacific’s containerboard mill in Monticello has again been awarded a Conservation Certification from the Wildlife Habitat Council, an international organization that works with industrial sites to promote wildlife habitats.

Seaman Paper has announced announce Ken Winterhalter as new CEO, effective immediately.

The Board of Södra has appointed Lotta Lyrå as new President and CEO. She will take office this year and thereby replace CFO Peter Karlsson, who has been Interim President since 20 February this year.

Sandra Sundbäck has been appointed CEO of Paper Province. Sandra Sundbäck takes up her new position in August, when she takes over as cluster leader after Maria Hollander. Sandra Sundbäck currently works as Sustainability and Communications Manager at Volvo Construction Equipment in Arvika, Sweden.
