The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has published the results of the continuance referendum vote for the Paper and Packaging Board (P+PB). In the referendum, 64% of manufacturers and importers voting, who represented 76% of the volume of paper and paper-based packaging voting in the referendum, were in favor of continuing the program.

In June 2020, Toscotec successfully rebuilt the approach flow and wet end of PM4 at Papeterie Le Bourray in Saint-Mars-la-Brière, France. After two months of stable production, PM4 exceeded the performance targets relating to the improvement of sheet formation quality and cross direction basis weight profile.

Andritz has received an order from Bracell to supply the non-condensable gases (NCG) incineration system on EPCC basis for Bracell’s pulp mill Project “STAR” in Lençóis Paulista, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.

Ox Industries announced that it is opening a new converting operation in Sturgis, Michigan. The new plant will expand Ox's geographic reach for converted products in the Midwest.

Domtar Corp. (NYSE: UFS) (TSX: UFS) announced it has signed an agreement with Voith to provide equipment and technical services to convert the paper machine at its Kingsport, Tennessee, mill to produce recycled containerboard including high-performance lightweight packaging grades, as well as industry standard grades.
