ANDRITZ Inc., a member of international technology Group ANDRITZ, has been selected by Domtar Corporation to provide equipment and technical services for conversion of a power boiler and a recovery boiler at their Kingsport paper mill, in Kingsport, TN, USA. This mill will be converted into Domtar’s first packaging facility.

GrandBay Group placed an order with Toscotec for one AHEAD 2.2L complete tissue line to be installed at its subsidiary Papelera Internacional in Rio Hondo Zacapa, Guatemala. The start-up is scheduled for late 2022.

Verso Corporation (NYSE: VRS) confirmed that it has received an unsolicited proposal from Atlas Holdings LLC regarding a potential transaction to acquire all outstanding shares of Class A common stock of Verso for $20.00 per share in cash.

Domtar announced it will restart a paper machine at its Ashdown, Arkansas, mill to add the capacity necessary for the company to meet increasing customer demand.

A new report co-authored by global consultancy Kearney and the World Economic Forum, The Resiliency Compass: Navigating Global Value Chain Disruption in an Age of Uncertainty, using data on global value chains collected from over 400 senior operations and supply chain management executives, found that 88% of companies have not built in sufficient supply chain resilience to weather coming challenges and disruptions.

Pulp & Paper
Valmet will supply a semi-chemical pulp (SCP) line to Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing Ltd, Chongqing in China. The technology deliveries by Valmet will begin in 2022 and the start-up is planned for 2023.

Paper Excellence is proposing a complete transformation of Northern Pulp Nova Scotia Corporation ("Northern Pulp" or "the Company"), a producer of high-quality Northern Bleached Softwood Kraft pulp at its kraft pulp mill in Pictou County (the "Mill") that is used in the manufacturing of a variety of products from tissue and paper towels to food additives and packaging.

Eczacibasi Consumer Products has chosen Valmet as the supplier for their new tissue line, which will be installed at the company’s Manisa Plant in Turkey. The new Valmet Advantage DCT 200TS line, including stock-preparation, automation and Focus rewinder will support the company’s rapid growth in global tissue paper markets.
