The Georgia-Pacific corrugated plant in Bradford, Pennsylvania, will undergo a significant upgrade with an investment topping $34 million. The funding will provide new equipment to modernize the plant's operations.

ProJet received an order for 2 Power Cleaners (dryer fabric cleaners) from Keryas Paper mill for their Paper Machine # 1. The order is a spin-off of the successful installation of Power Cleaners that were already installed in the Middle East area.

Polish cardboard packaging maker Janmar Centrum has opened a new production facility in Stryków, in the country’s central part, as part of a project designed to boost the company’s manufacturing capacities.

U.S. paper and pulp giant Georgia-Pacific has announced a US$500 million expansion is underway at the company’s Broadway mill in the state of Wisconsin. The investment is expected to significantly expand the firm’s retail consumer tissue and towel business, Georgia-Pacific said in a statement.

ABB has been appointed by Arauco, a manufacturer of forest products, to provide remote supervision in five of its pulp mills in Chile to ensure greater reliability and monitoring across all processes.

International technology group ANDRITZ has received an order from Sichuan Huaqiao Fenghuang Paper Co. Ltd. to supply a patented combi-pulping system for its mill in Guanghan, Deyang City, Sichuan Province, China. Start-up is scheduled for the third quarter of 2023.

Heinzel Holding GmbH and Paracel S.A. jointly announce that Heinzel has entered into an investment agreement to become the strategic equity investor in Paracel, an afforestation and pulp mill project in Paraguay, South America.

The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released its June 2022 Packaging Papers & Specialty Packaging Monthly report.

Graphic Packaging Holding Company reported Net Income for second quarter 2022 of $66 million, or $0.21 per share, based upon 309.9 million weighted average diluted shares. This compares to second quarter 2021 Net Income of $38 million, or $0.13 per share, based upon 295.8 million weighted average diluted shares.

Packaging Corporation of America reported second quarter 2022 net income of $301 million, or $3.20 per share, and net income of $304 million, or $3.23 per share, excluding special items. Second quarter net sales were $2.2 billion in 2022 and $1.9 billion in 2021.
