ANDRITZ Oy, part of international technology group ANDRITZ, and LUT University (Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT) launched an extensive collaboration in the field of fiber technology a year ago. As a result, a new state-of-the-art research laboratory for the joint development of sustainable fiber technologies will open at the LUT campus in Lahti on November 3, 2022.

Seaman Paper Company announced the acquisition of South Windsor, Connecticut-based Eagle Tissue LLC, a provider of tissue paper printing and converting services.

Kruger Packaging announced that construction on the $114 million Kruger Packaging Elizabethtown Plant in Kentucky is now complete. Measuring 400,000+ square feet, the state-of-the-art facility is now open and production of corrugated paper — that will soon be turned into boxes — is underway.
