Mondi said that it has completed the acquisition of the Duino paper mill near Trieste (Italy) from the Burgo Group for a total consideration of EUR 40 million.

Central National Gottesman Inc. (CNG) announced that it has signed a definitive purchase agreement to acquire S.P. Richards (SPR), an independent business products wholesaler based in Atlanta, Georgia. The closing is expected to take place on January 31, 2023.

Hamburger Hungaria Kft, Dunaújváros, Hungary, will rebuild their PM7 vacuum system with RunEco EP Turbo Blowers. Delivery includes three EP600 Turbo Blowers with EcoDrop water separators.

GrandBay Papeles Nacionales has selected Toscotec for the turnkey supply of a new AHEAD 2.2 tissue line (PM5) at its Pereira production base in Colombia. This is Toscotec’s second project with GrandBay who is currently installing a complete AHEAD 2.2L tissue line at GrandBay Papelera Internacional in Guatemala.

Metsä Board, part of Metsä Group, has started an environmental impact assessment (EIA) procedure for a folding boxboard mill it is planning to build in Kaskinen, Finland. The company submitted an EIA programme to the South Ostrobothnia Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY Centre) on 22 December 2022 in accordance with the Act on Environmental Impact Assessment Procedure.

Trenton Daily reports that for over 50 years, Trenton Corrugated Products has been designing and manufacturing right in the heart of Trenton. Due to the reusability of wood fibers, corrugated products are inherently more sustainable than competing packaging options.
