Two Sides announced its newest member, the European Manufacturers Paper Honeycomb Association (EMPHA), the pan-European association for manufacturers of paper honeycomb core and paper honeycomb board products.

Markets have been quite quirky this year as I noted in my last column. Paper prices continue to go up in most parts of the country. Even though plastic prices are showing some signs of life, the four curbside plastics, PET, both HDPEs and polypropylene, remain in the doldrums. Recycling prices normally weaken in winter s demand slows down.

Ox Industries announced a price increase of $50 per ton for all grades of uncoated recycled paperboard (URB) and a minimum price increase of 6% on all tube and core and protective packaging products.
 
Greif, Inc. announced it is implementing a $40 to $70 per short ton increase for all grades of uncoated recycled paperboard (URB) and a minimum 6.0 percent increase on all tube and core and protective packaging products.
