Pulp & Paper
Valmet is to deliver an Advantage DCT100HS tissue line to Andhra Paper Limited for its Kadiyam mill in Andhra Pradesh, India. The new line is optimized to enhance production and reduce environmental footprint. The start-up is scheduled for the end of 2025.

Suzano announced that the operational start-up of its new pulp mill in Ribas do Rio Pardo, located in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul ("Cerrado Project"), Brazil, will take place in July 2024.

As a step in the strategy of getting more out of every tree, Södra is now establishing a new business to become a world leader in the production of kraft lignin. Södra's production facility will be the first commercial facility in Sweden and the largest of its kind in the world. This is an investment of over two billion SEK and expected to be in operation in 2027.

Norske Skog officially opened a new thermomechanical pulp (TMP) production line at its pulp and paper mill in Skogn, Norway. Norske Skog first announced the NOK 180 million (USD 18.2 million) TMP line project in January 2023. The company received grant funding of about NOK 40-50 million from the NOx fund.

Gunnar Eberhardt has been appointed Executive Vice President, UPM Communication Papers. He will be a member of UPM’s Group Executive Team and report to Massimo Reynaudo, President and CEO. He will start in his role in October 2024.

AS Hekotek informs that starting from June the company has a new Chairman of Executive Board and CEO Margo Muzakko. Margo has been working at Hekotek since 2011, having been the Head of project division for 10 years.
