Georgia-Pacific celebrated the completion of its investment initiatives at the Green Bay Broadway Facility. International technology group ANDRITZ has initiated a project to build a state-of-the-art service center for pulp and paper mill equipment in Três Lagoas, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. With this strategic investment, ANDRITZ strengthens its presence in Brazil and its support for the local pulp and paper industry.

Ukrainian tissue manufacturer Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill purchased a TT SYD Steel Yankee Dryer and a high efficiency TT Hood system from Toscotec to fully replace their existing cast iron dryer cylinder and Yankee hoods on PM2 at their Obukhiv mill, south of Kyiv. The project is planned for start-up in 2025.

The installation of the HighPerformance Press in the press section of Smurfit Westrock Roermond Papier's PM 1 represents a milestone in the development of the product. After a rebuild time of only 38 hours and a smooth start-up, production was fully ramped up again.

Metsä Fibre announced that its Joutseno pulp mill is undergoing a production shutdown to adapt to the current market situation. The Joutseno pulp mill has the capacity to produce 690,000 metric tons per year of high-quality softwood pulp.
