Over the Calender: The Evolution of A Little Known but Crucial Part of Paper Mills
For at least more than one year of monitoring from mid-2017 to very late this past year the Wikipedia page on industrial calendering was not only frighteningly small considering its importance in raw material resource engineering of many types, but its brief nature also did not mention its special relationship to paper and the Supercalendering process. Link: A ‘Paperless World’ – Why It Still Hasn’t Happened
2017 lead article featured by the Asia Paper Markets was either deliberately reprinted (along with several others in a correctly labeled area... sometimes this inadvertent mistake does happen) because the history of the "doom of paper" dates back to the early 1980s due to the threat of computers and paper to each other except during the paradoxical period of the very late 1990s and up to the mid-2000s when the home PC also meant having a home printer for inkjet use more so than today.
