The Fedrigoni Group has signed an agreement with Arjowiggings for the acquisition of Guarro Casas, a manufacturer of specialty graphic papers. The company is based in Gelida (Barcelona), Spain, where it operates a plant with 140 employees.
 
MP hygiène has selected Toscotec for the supply of its second tissue line at Annonay mill in France. Scheduled for start-up in 2024, the new AHEAD 2.2 (PM2) will be supplied on a turnkey basis.
 
ProJet received an order for 3 Power Cleaners (dryer fabric cleaners) from Silverton Pulp & Paper Pvt. Ltd. for their Paper Machine # 1. The order was received in October 2022 and the value of the order will not be disclosed.

The Quesnel Cariboo Observer published a short and perhaps low-key article on September 29, 2022, “16-day curtailment planned at Cariboo Pulp and Paper due to forestry challenges.” The announced pending curtailment is expected to affect 160 employees and take affect October 29.

Mondi, a global leader in sustainable packaging and paper, has announced the approval of a €400 million investment in a new paper machine at its flagship Štětí mill in the Czech Republic. The investment forms part of the Group’s €1 billion expansionary capital investment programme to accelerate growth in sustainable packaging and will further strengthen Mondi’s leading position in the market.
 
Valmet will supply an Advantage DCT 100TS tissue production machine to Papel San Francisco in Mexico. The new machine will be installed at the company's mill in Mexicali and the start-up is planned for the first half of 2024.
 
UPG Unified Purchasing Group
Stora Enso has decided to invest approximately EUR 1 billion to convert the remaining idle paper machine at the Group's Oulu site in Finland into a high-volume consumer board production line. The investment supports the Group's growth strategy in renewable packaging by providing new volume for growing packaging segments.
