Georgia-Pacific is making significant investments, totaling more than $50 million, at its Port Hudson mill in Zachary, Louisiana. The investments will greatly enhance the company's retail consumer towel business.

PulPac expands its capabilities and partners with machine builder Curt G. Joa, Inc. (JOA) to meet North America's huge and rapidly growing demand for sustainable packaging. JOA, a leading expert in engineering and custom machine manufacturing for the disposable hygiene market for almost a century, will provide the Dry Molded Fiber production platform “PulPac Modula” specialized to the US market.
 
Colombian Wipes Producer Quimicolor Invests in Complete Spunlace Line
This will be the first spunlace line in South America outside of Brazil, and it will include the 130th TT card sold by ANDRITZ. The line will process viscose and polyester fibers to produce over 10,000 tons of nonwoven roll-goods per year for conversion to wipes.

The customer selected Valmet’s paper machine clothing to ensure a successful start-up of their new Valmet board making line later this year. The package corresponds to a clothing consumption of several years.
