Metsä Group Plans to End its Plywood Production in Suolahti
Metsä Wood, part of Metsä Group, plans to discontinue plywood production in Suolahti, Finland. The plan to end production at the Suolahti mill is based on its poor profitability. According to the plans, production at the Suolahti birch plywood mill would end by the end of first quarter of 2025 and production at the spruce plywood mill would end by the end of 2026 at the latest.
