T 1009 "Tensile strength and elongation at break for fiber glass mats" was balloted for its regular five-year review on Kuly 1, 2014. After the ballot was closed, a chair was assigned and a second draft was prepared for a proposed revision.
After registering the proposed revision with ANSI (required by our guidelines), the ballot on Draft 2 went out on October 16, 2014, and due on December 1, 2014. However, after dropping members who have missed three ballots in a row, the Standard-Specific Interest Group (SSIG) is now out of balance.
An SSIG is out of balance if any interest group makes up more than 50% of the membership. In this case, there are more than 50% suppliers of chemicals and raw materials belonging to the group.
If you are not a supplier of chemicals or raw materials, and you have an interest in this Standard, please contact standards@tappi.org no later than January 17, 2015, to join the SSIG.
