Propose a New Standard or Technical Information Paper (TIP) Getting started is easy. Do you have just a general idea for a Standard, or are you farther along and have a substantial draft? If you just have a general idea for a Standard or TIP, complete the New Idea Submission form. TAPPI will review your idea and identify an appropriate committee or group to work on your suggestion. If you are further along, send an initial draft to standards@tappi.org. From there, the TAPPI Standards Manager will guide you through the appropriate process to finalize and approve the new document. Withdrawal of TAPPI T 575 om-13 The Official Method T 575 om-13 Roughness of paper and paperboard, stylus (Emveco-type) method has been administratively withdrawn due to lack of timely completion during the review process. The purpose of this TIP is to cover the principles of press fabric guiding. Many of these principles are applicable for forming fabric and drying fabric guiding as well. This TIP also provides general rules for preventing or inducing trade line distortion.
