The following TIPs have been WITHDRAWN either by their respective committees or by QSMC decision due to lack of timely completion of review.
TIP 0305-27 - Said to provide no value TIP 0404-29 - No longer used TIP 0404-37 - Withdrawn by QSMC TIP 0602-03 - Withdrawn by QSMC Any TAPPI member that wishes to reinstate any withdrawn documents can contact the Standards Administrator at standards@tappi.org with all questions and concerns. Product & Product Quality Division committees are in need of new members to support the development and maintenance of standards we all use in the manufacture of the products we deliver to our customers. These committees discuss and make decisions on critical issues that deal with standards which are currently being used by the pulp and paper industry, as well as those which are being developed for them. Pulp and Chemical Properties Committee Tissue Properties Subcommittee Joining one or more of these groups gives you and your company the opportunity to participate in the discussion and development of the standards we use for evaluating the product and product quality. Without good pulp and paper industry standards to guide us, we will not be able to deliver what our customers require. Therefore, please consider volunteering your company and your support for these committees. For all those members who are already involved in Standard Specific Interest Groups (SSIG), we ask you to make the next step in standard development and maintenance participation by joining a committee today. Meetings are held twice a year to discuss ongoing committee work. The meetings can be attended in person or by phone conference. Getting started is easy. Do you have just a general idea for a standard, or are you farther along and have a substantial draft? If you just have a general idea for a standard or TIP, complete the New Idea Submission Form. TAPPI will review your idea and identify an appropriate committee or group to work on your suggestion. If you are further along, send an initial draft to standards@tappi.org. From there, the TAPPI Standards Manager will guide you through the appropriate process to finalize and approve the new document. SSIG Members Needed
All Standard-Specific Interest Groups (SSIG) require a minimum of 10 members in order to ballot and vote on a draft of a method.
T 438 cm-06 "Zinc and cadmium in paper" requires two more SSIG members for ballot. Acronyms You May Need to Know
