Duni’s Rexcell Tissue to Upgrade Two Tissue Machines in Sweden

Duni (Sweden) subsidiary Rexcell Tissue & Airlaid AB, Sweden, will invest approximately 110 MSEK, upgrading its two tissue machines in Skåpafors, Sweden. The investment will increase the tissue capacity at Rexcell by approximately 15% annually.
Voith GmbH & CO KG has been selected as key supplier. This will be the second installation of a new technology in the world and the first in Europe. With this investment, Rexcell will have the ability to develop a new quality standard for tissue napkins. The plan is to have the new technology installed during the second quarter of 2016.
"As market leader in producing colored tissue for napkins, we need to invest in higher efficiency and upgraded materials. This investment will give us the opportunity to develop new products in cooperation with our customers," said Thomas Gustafsson, president and CEO of Duni AB.
Rexcell Tissue & Airlaid AB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Duni AB. Rexcell produces tissue and airlaid material for both Duni and external customers. Operations are conducted at two mills located in Skåpafors in Dalsland.
