Renova, Novia, Portugal, will build its first production site outside of Portugal. The company plans to produce tissue products at Saint-Yorre, France, in the future. The new mill is to be commissioned late this year.
Renova will build its first mill outside of Portugal in Saint-Yorre to the west of Lyon on the premises of a defunct dairy. The new site will create 30 jobs and is to be commissioned by the end of this year. Renova did not disclose the investment amount.
At the new mill in Saint-Yorre, Renova plans to produce toilet paper and kitchen rolls on one production line. The company did not provide information regarding the site's capacity. The products are initially to be sold in France, Belgium, and Luxemburg, later on also in Northern Europe.
Also, a company spokesman said the necessary foundations would be laid to eventually produce tissue at the new site at a later stage. For the moment, however, there were no plans for such a move and the company would solely focus on the production of tissue products, he added.
