At its Mannheim tissue production facilities in Germany, SCA, Stockholm, Sweden, has installed a complete and particularly complex A.Celli Paper (Italy) roll handling and packaging system. The system includes four lines that, following accurate testing, became ready for acceptance in December of last year.
Among its preferred suppliers, SCA nominated the A.Celli Group as project supervisor, conferring the company full authority to study every detail, requirement and feasibility aspect, technical progress, and customization of the handling project.
"A.Celli confirmed to be a reliable, competent partner," SCA said. "It followed this project for us, immediately identifying our needs in terms of handling, and resolving any problem quickly and effectively, applying the utmost attention and showing great expertise in safety and automation."
SCA is a global hygiene and forest products company. It develops and produces sustainable personal care, tissue, and forest products, and has some 44,000 employees. With sales of EUR 1.26 billion, Germany is SCA’s biggest market worldwide. SCA’s operations in Germany include two offices in Mannheim and Ismaning, as well as four production sites in Mainz-Kostheim, Mannheim, Neuss, and Witzenhausen.
