The November/December issue of TAPPI’s Paper360º magazine will include a special interview with Bob Chapman, chairman and CEO of Barry-Wehmiller (B-W), a St. Louis, Mo.-based capital equipment and engineering solutions firm that acquired tissue converting equipment company PCMC (Lucca, Italy) some 10 years ago. The interview examines B-W's employee-focused approach used to transform acquired firms such as PCMC and other companies.
The Spring 2016 issue of TAPPI’s Tissue360º magazine will include a detailed look at PCMC and how the B-W every-person-matters "team" concept created a new work culture at PCMC that is still evolving a decade after the acquisition. The excitement of the PCMC transformation is still building at PCMC today, as the company adamantly follows its new "caring and compassion" path into the future.
Last week, a new book by Chapman titled Everbody Matters: The Extraordinary Power of Caring for Your People Like Family, co-authored by Raj Sisodia, founder and co-author of Conscious Capitalism, was released. Filled with stories and lessons learned along B-W’s journey, the book offers clear steps to transform businesses and organizations and create cultures where everybody matters.
