U.S. Alliance to Display RA, FSC Trademarks on Tissue Products

 

U.S. Alliance Paper, Edgewood, N.Y., USA, a private label tissue producer, reports that it will begin displaying the Rainforest Alliance (RA) and Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) trademarks on certain of its products.

"For U.S. Alliance Paper, FSC certification is a huge step," said John Sarraf, president. "Virgin fiber is preferred for its superior quality and represents the bulk of our raw material purchases. We are now able to ensure that these raw materials are purchased from suppliers who adhere to responsible forest management principles, uniting our company, our retail partners, and ultimately the consumers in a common effort to be good stewards of this fragile resource. Now we are able to offer our retailers a comprehensive range of paper grades and quality tiers, and their shoppers a superior quality product with no negative environmental impact." 

U.S. Alliance Paper produces private label household paper napkins, bath tissue, kitchen towels, and facial tissue in a full range of paper grades, including FSC certified fiber. Additionally, the company manufactures control brands under the trade names Daisy, Delicate Touch, and its environmentally friendly Earth First line of products.
