Marjaranta Named VP, Global Communications at Metso

Metso, Helsinki, Finland, has appointed Helena Marjaranta VP, global communications, effective this past Tuesday, December 1. She will be based in Helsinki. Her responsibility area covers external and internal communications, and she reports to Urs Pennanen, SVP, customer and marketing operations.
Marjaranta joins Metso from the Finnish Transport Agency, where she has worked as director of communications and sustainability since 2013. Before the FTA, she was SVP, communications and corporate responsibility at Vaisala Oyj, being based both in Finland and the U.S. Before joining Vaisala, she worked as head of communications for the Radio Access business in Nokia Siemens Networks and as a senior communications manager at Nokia.
