Ukraine’s KCPM restarts 40,000-tonne/yr tissue PM after upgrade

It was fitted with a new yankee cylinder delivered by Valmet.
The upgrade was aimed at improving the quality of the tissue on the 40,000-tonne/yr PM as well as raising its capacity. The recycled fiber-based tissue made on PM 1 is used for production of toilet paper under the brand name Obukhov 65.
The Kiev mill is managed by Austria’s Pulp Mill Holding, which also operates the Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper mill in Russia.
