Italy's Cartiera Confalone Plans New Tissue Plant

The Italian Ministry of Economic Development has signed a Euro 46.4 million ($49.2 million) "development contract" with Cartiera Confalone, an Italian tissue producer located in Avellino, near Naples. According to local newspaper Avellino Today, the company will use this investment to open a new plant. Details of the planned plant were not immediately available.
The ministry issued 10 new "development contracts" in different sectors in December 2016 for a total of Euro 300 million. Cartiera Confalone produces 20,000 tonnes/yr of tissue, paper towels and napkins for the retail and commercial markets.
