Södra to increase NBSK pulp price to $890/tonne in Europe, effective May 1

Södra has begun informing customers that it is raising the price of its NBSK pulp in Europe to USD 890/tonne, effective the beginning of May.

This latest price announcement reflects the fact that the stretched state of supply across the market globally is continuing. "Recent statistics and the fact that we are receiving requests for additional tonnage in several markets indicate that an already tight market is showing no sign of easing, on the contrary," explained Magnus Björkman, vice president, marketing and sales, Södra Cell.
