Spain’s Kartogroup to Raise Converting Capacity to 90,000 mtpy at its Castellón mill

Spanish tissue producer Kartogroup, part of the Cominter group, will invest Euro 21.5 million ($25.2 million) to increase converting capacity from 65,000 mtpy to 90,000 mtpy at its Castellón mill in Spain, the Spanish daily newspaper Expansión reported. According to the daily, the firm will install a new converting line and a cogeneration plant.
Kartogroup was not available for immediate comment. The firm’s Castellón mill produces towel, bath and napkin paper on two paper machines and has a production capacity of around 45,000 mtpy.
