Katja Lerner, Vice President of Research and Engineering at Kimberly-Clark, to Speak at Tissue 2018

TAPPI and RISI announce Katja Lerner as a speaker during the executive panel during Tissue 2018. Here, tissue industry professionals will gather together at the vibrant Fox Cities Exhibition Center in Appleton, WI, in the heart of the tissue industry, for a program designed with a unique mix of educational and technical content. The conference runs October 3-5.
As vice president, research & engineering, at Kimberly-Clark, Katja leads the North America Research & Engineering organization for Kimberly-Clark’s $3.3 billion Consumer Tissue sector and is responsible for product, material, process & equipment development. She also oversees the Tissue Pilot Facility. As part of her key responsibilities, she provides the strategic leadership and vision for the sectors long-term innovation pipeline in addition to technical capability development and launch execution.
Before being named to her current position in 2014, Katja led all front-end innovation activities in Kimberly-Clark’s Baby & Child Care Sector in North America.
She earned her Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University Des Saarlandes, Germany. Katja is originally from Germany and currently resides with her family in Neenah, Wisconsin.
