Czech Tissue Converter RollPap to Build Tissue Mill in Czech Republic

Czech converter RollPap will build a tissue paper mill with a capacity of approximately 7,200 mtpy in Opatovice nad Labem, Czech Republic. According to the firm, the project should be completed by 2019, with production to start in 2020.

"The firm’s aim is to stop importing tissue paper and to start producing its own mother rolls by using paper for recycling collected in the region. [The paper mill’s] capacity should be slightly above our current mother roll consumption," RollPap managing director Ivana Hotová told RISI. The firm currently imports 450-500 tonnes/month of tissue paper.
