In Xinjiang, China’s Fangfeida Paper Fires up First TM

Fangfeida Paper has kicked off trial production on the first tissue PM at its sole mill in Changji, Xinjiang autonomous region, in northwest China.The 12,500-metric tpy unit churned out its first sheet of paper in late December. Supplied by Chinese firm Baotuo Paper Machinery Engineering, the machine has a trim width of 2.86 m and a design speed of 900 m/min.

Once a tissue product converter based in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang, the company got approval in 2017 from local environmental authorities to build its first tissue paper production lines in Changji. It started construction in 2018.
