China’s Jiangnan Paper has kicked off trial production on a new 20,000-metric tpy tissue machine at its Liujing mill in Nanning city, Guangxi province. The first sheet of paper rolled off the line in late March.
Supplied by Chinese firm Mianyang Tongcheng Auto-Equipment, the unit has a trim width of 2.85 m and a maximum speed of 1,200 m/min.
According to a company executive, the main output will have a basis weight of 14-30 g/m2 and will be converted into hand towels.
The Liujing plant operates two other tissue PMs, each having a capacity of 20,000 metric tpy. Like the new TM, they are furnished with bagasse and wood pulp.
Jiangnan Paper also runs three small tissue PMs with a combined capacity of approximately 13,000 metric tpy at another mill in Binyang county, Nanning city. Back to Tissue360 Newsletter |
