At the end of September 2015 PAPCEL closed a deal with a customer in Saudi Arabia to whom it is now supplying a new tissue machine for a greenfield plant.
The project in Saudi Arabia includes the delivery of complete tissue technology from stock preparation, machine and corresponding technologies such as sewage treatment plant, boiler room, LPG station.
PAPCEL secured the complete basic and detail engineering. It is not a turnkey project because some of the smaller technological units were being handled by the customer with PAPCEL‘s technical support.
Design speed of the machine is 2,000 m/min. The diameter of drying cylinder is 4.57 m2. The cover is gas heated and the maximum temperature is 520°C. The boiler room produces steam and the boilers are designed so that they can use either gas or diesel oil. The boiler room, LPG station and the sewage treatment plant are dimensioned for two paper machines so future expansion is possible.
The final mechanical work is currently being done. Testing and commissioning were scheduled to start in April.
