Essity’s Jose Guirao Will Speak at the North Carolina State University Tissue Conference

The theme this year for North Carolina State University’s Tissue Conference is “Fiber Development & Sustainability for Value Creation in the Hygiene Tissue Industry.” The agenda is tailored to discuss advances in tissue research led by top universities across the world. Presentations will focus on advances in fiber modification for value creation, efforts toward fiber reduction, scientific discussion on the true sustainability of hygiene tissue products. The Tissue Pack Innovation Lab at NC State University will also showcase tissue testing capabilities along with hands-on training led by distinguished academic and industry experts.

On Tuesday, June 4, Jose Guirao, vice president of finance, Essity South America, will speak on the opportunities around sustainability value creation in the tissue and hygiene industry. Guirao has more than 20 years of experience in the consumer goods industry with roles in product supply controlling and sales controlling for the North American market. As VP of finance, Guirao oversees financial strategies and planning for Central and South America.
