According to the Record, almost seven months after a blaze decimated the Marcal Paper Mills and toppled its iconic sign, officials are moving forward with the next phase of recovery on the property.
Starting in late August, comprehensive demolition activities were scheduled to begin and should last for an estimated four months, according to a statement released by Rob Baron, president and CEO of Soundview Paper Co., which owns the property.
Baron said efforts are still “extraordinary in scope” because “the fire substantially destroyed multiple buildings at the site and over 16 acres of our property were severely damaged.” Back to Tissue360 Newsletter |
