Metsä Tissue Appoints Esa Paavolainen as VP, Projects in Mariestad Investment Project

Esa Paavolainen has been appointed VP, Projects in Metsä Tissue’s Mariestad investment project as of March 21. He reports to Jari Tiura, SVP, Operations.

Before joining Metsä Tissue, Paavolainen has been working in different production and investment project management positions in UPM Raflatac for 20 years.

Metsä Tissue is a leading tissue paper supplier to households and professionals in Europe and the world’s leading supplier of greaseproof papers. Its brands are Lambi, Serla, Mola, Tento, Katrin and SAGA. With production units in five countries, it employs around 2,500 people. In 2019, its sales were EUR 1 billion. Metsä Tissue is part of Metsä Group.
