China’s Tangshan Meitehao to Add 50,000 mtpy of Tissue Capacity

China’s Tangshan Meitehao Hygiene Products has ordered two new tissue machines for its sole mill in Qian’an city, Hebei province.

Domestic supplier Baotuo Paper Machinery Engineering has been signed on to provide them. Each unit will have a capacity of 25,000 tonnes/yr, and will feature a trim width of 3.55 m and a design speed of 1,300 m/min.

The company did not reveal a timeline for their startups. Currently the Qian’an mill runs two similarly-sized tissue machines, which were commissioned in 2019.
