Libang Group Fires up 20,000-mtpy Tissue Machine in Hebei

The Libang Group has fired up a new 20,000-mtpy tissue PM at its mill in Baoding city, Hebei province, China. The first sheet of paper rolled off the line in late May.

Provided by domestic supplier Baotuo Paper Machinery, the unit has a trim width of 3.55 m and a designed speed of 1,300 m/min.

Operated by the group’s subsidiary Baoding Gangxing Paper, the mill now boasts a total tissue paper capacity of approximately 150,000 mtpy.

The Libang Group is also installing two identical TMs at a greenfield mill in Xiaogan city, Hubei province. Their startups are scheduled for the second half of this year.

Recently the group ordered two more Baotuo tissue machines for the Xiaogan plant. Each will have a capacity of 20,000 mtpy and will feature a trim width of 2.85 m and a design speed of 1,500 m/min. They are expected to come online in the first half of 2021.
