Longyou Xurong Paper has kicked off trial production on a 16,000-mtpy tissue machine at its sole mill in Quzhou city, Zhejiang province, China. The unit churned out its first sheet of paper in early June.
Provided by domestic supplier Baotuo Paper Machinery Engineering, the machine has a trim width of 2.85 m and a design speed of 1,300 m/min.
It is the second TM to have come online at the site this year.
The first was a 12,000-mtpy tissue machine, which was sourced second-hand from Shantou Piaohe Paper. It was commissioned at the Quzhou mill in March.
Shandong Piaohe once operated several TMs with a combined capacity of approximately 90,000 mtpy at its mill in Shantou city, Guangdong province. The company ceased production in 2019 due to financial difficulties and has dedicated itself entirely to tissue conversion. Back to Tissue360 Newsletter |
