Guangxi Hongyuan Paper Fires up 17,000-mtpy Tissue Machine in Fangchenggang, China

China’s Guangxi Hongyuan Paper has recently fired up a new 17,000-mtpy tissue machine at its mill in Fangchengang city, in Guangxi autonomous region.

Provided by domestic firm Baotuo Paper Machinery, the unit has a trim width of 2.85 m and a design speed of 1,400 m/min.

It is the first tissue PM at the mill, and further tissue capacity expansion there is expected to follow.

Founded in 2019, Guangxi Hongyuan Paper was built on the site of its affiliate Fangchenggang Hongyuan Pulp & Paper, a market pulp manufacturer which can produce up to 50,000 mtpy of unbleached eucalyptus and bamboo kraft pulp.

The tissue facility sources steam and some unbleached pulp from Fangchenggang Hongyuan.
