Emtec Electronic Celebrates its 25th Anniversary

The German company emtec Electronic GmbH develops, produces and sells testing technologies worldwide and celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The company is proud of what has been achieved over the past few decades and look back on successful businesses, some fun stories, and look forward to continuing to do great support for the paper and tissue industry.

In 1995 the company started with one device and four employees within the paper industry. Its founder and general manager, Giselher Gruener, developed the first measuring device for liquid penetration to predict the gluing, printing and coating behavior of paper. Beside other developments for the pulp and paper industry, the company introduces the first objective softness measurement device in 2006. This innovative emtec TSA Tissue Softness Analyzer is one of the biggest success in that decade and was a great support and simplification for the work of tissue manufacturer, converters and their suppliers.

In the meanwhile, the company has 32 employees, is also active in the nonwovens and textile industry, and offers 13 different devices with several modules in more than 80 countries with a global sales network of 32 independent representatives. All devices of the emtec product range are self-developed and unique on the market. They can be used in many different steps of the production and converting of the mentioned industries. R&D, process and product optimization, trouble shooting and complaint management as well as the incoming control and quality assurance are the application areas of emtec testing devices.
