China’s Guizhou Chitianhua Paper Industry has started trial production on two 15,000-mtpy tissue machines at its sole mill in Chishui city, in the southwestern province of Guizhou.
Dubbed TMs 18 and 19, the machines came online July 27 and July 30, respectively.
Provided by domestic supplier Baotuo Paper Machinery Engineering, each unit has a trim width of 2.86 m and a design speed of 1,100 m/min.
Another four identical tissue machines were being installed at the Chishui mill, with startups scheduled by the end of August.
Otherwise, the plant operates a pair of 60,000-mtpy tissue machines that were commissioned in 2017.
All of the tissue paper production lines are partly integrated with a 250,000-mtpy on-site bamboo pulp line.
Guizhou Chitianhua became an indirect subsidiary of the Taison Group in late 2014.
The group also runs tissue machines with a total capacity of approximately 408,000 mtpy at existing mills in the provinces of Sichuan, Jiangxi, and Hubei, as well as in Chongqing municipality.
It is also building two 60,000-mtpy tissue machines at a new facility in Anhui province, with startups expected before the end of this year.
