Baoding Zeyu Fires up 25,000-mtpy Tissue Machine in Hebei, China

In China, Baoding Zeyu New Material has started up a new 25,000-mtpy tissue machine at its sole mill in Baoding city, Hebei.

The unit churned out its first sheet of tissue in mid-September.

Provided by domestic supplier Weifang Hicredit Machinery, the machine has a width of 3.55 m and a design speed of 1,300 m/min.

When an identical machine starts up at the end of the year, the total tissue paper capacity of the mill will be boosted to 75,000 mtpy.

Baoding Zeyu New Material is an affiliate of Baoding Zeyu Paper, which runs a total fluting and coreboard capacity of around 90,000 mtpy at a different plant in the same city.

The recycled packaging board producer diversified into the tissue business in 2018 with its first tissue paper production line.
