Multiple New TMs Come Online in Baoding, China

According to Fastmarkets RISI, several small tissue producers have recently fired up new PMs at mills in Baoding city, Hebei province, in northern China.
China’s Hebei Jinboshi Group has recently started two 25,000 mtpy TMs at its sole mill in Mancheng, Baoding city. Dubbed PMs 6 & 7, the two units churned out their first sheet of tissue paper on January 9 and January 18, respectively. Provided by domestic supplier Shanghai Qingliang Industry, each machine has a trim width of 3.65 m and a design speed of 1,400 m/min. Their start-ups have boosted the company’s total tissue paper capacity to nearly 190,000 mtpy.

Also in Mancheng, Hebei Yaguang Paper recently started up a new tissue PM. Provided by domestic supplier Baotuo Paper Machinery Engineering, the unit has a capacity of 25,000 mtpy. It features a trim width of 3.55 m and a design speed of 1,300 m/min. The company has ordered a second, identical TM for the same site, but has not revealed its expected start-up date.

Hebei Baoding Dayi Paper fired up a 25,000 mtpy tissue unit at its plant in Shunping, Baoding city on January 12. Also supplied by Shanghai Qingliang Industry, the machine has a trim width of 3.65 m and a design speed of 1,400 m/min. The Shunping mill operates several other TMs with a combined capacity of nearly 113,000 mtpy.
