Hebei Jinboshi Starts 25,000 mtpy Tissue Machine in Baoding, China

Fastmarkets RISI reports China’s Hebei Jinboshi Group has started up a new 25,000 mtpy tissue PM at its sole mill in Baoding city, Hebei province. Dubbed PM 6, the unit churned out its first sheet of tissue on Saturday. Provided by domestic supplier Shanghai Qingliang Industry, the machine features a trim width of 3.65 m and a design speed of 1,400 m/min. 

An identical machine is conducting test runs at the site and is expected to start trial production by the end of this month. At that point, the company will boast a total tissue paper capacity of nearly 190,000 mtpy.
