Taison Group Starts-Up 20,000 mtpy TM in Anhui, China; Seven More to Follow

According to Fastmarkets RISI China’s Taison Group has started up a 20,000 mtpy tissue PM at its mill in Suzhou city, Anhui province.

It is the first of eight identical tissue PMs at the mill that the company ordered from domestic supplier Shandong Xinhe Paper Making Engineering. Each machine features a trim width of 2.85 m and a design speed of 1,300 m/min. The second is set to be brought online before the end of this month.

The other six units are expected to start up by the end of this year. Apart from the eight 20,000 mtpy tissue PMs, the Suzhou mill operates two 60,000 mtpy Andritz-supplied tissue production lines, which were fired up in January and February respectively.
