Tissue Track at TAPPICon 2021 Offers Timely and Useful Topics

Tissue Track co-chairs Bud Chase and Suzanne Blanchet as they describe this year’s program offerings. Over the course of three days, attendees will hear from leading experts on trending topics:

“Our goal for attendees is to provide hands-on information that is relevant to both mill workers making product and those who are tasked with innovating and ideation,” they explain. “It’s an extremely well-rounded program. Presentations range from a real-time case study on making more biodegradable Covid masks, to how the loss of recovered copy paper has impacted tissue production, to specific technical presentations on creating softer product to meet consumer demand.” Attendees will also hear the latest news about the Dust Mitigation Committee, presented by Alfredo Sarli.

Kicking off the track offerings is a Tissue Keynote presentation by Marcal president and CEO Rob Baron who will share insights into the 2019 New Jersey mill fire. Not only will Baron touch on lessons learned, he will also address the before, during and after preparation that helped mitigate potential disaster and which led to the plant’s reopening only one year later.
