APP China Starts Up Second TM at Rudong Mill in Jiangsu

According to Fastmarkets RISI, APP China has started up a new 30,000 tonne/yr tissue PM at its mill in Rudong county, Nantong province, Jiangsu province.

Provided by the PMP Group (which was acquired by Valmet in October 2020), the machine has a capacity of 30,000 metric tpy, a width of 3.6 m, a design speed of 1,600 m/m, and is equipped with an 18-foot steel Yankee dryer. Dubbed TM 2, it is the second of 18 identical tissue PMs that are slated for the mill. The first one was fired up in late June. The outstanding TMs are set to come on stream in the next 10 months. The Rudong mill will eventually boast a total tissue paper capacity of 780,000 metric tpy.
