Once again, the Top Employer Institute has acknowledged Metsä Tissue Germany for its human resources management. Companies certified as Top Employer put their employees in the centre of their business activities and offer them an outstanding working and development environment.

"We are proud once again to meet the high standards of the Top Employer Institute. Metsä Tissue stands out for high standards and quality, while continuously striving for improvement as our employees are always in our focus. We promote talent, support our employees and give them the space and opportunity to develop professionally. Our human resources work lays the basis for this and makes us a good employer for many talented people”, says Simone Klein, Vice President HR Western Europe

David Plink, CEO of the Top Employers Institute, says: "Given the challenging year, which like the year before has impacted companies around the world, Metsä Tissue has continued to demonstrate that it prioritizes maintaining excellent employee practices in the workplace. They continue to meet the challenges of the changing world of work and work tirelessly to positively impact the lives of their employees. We are pleased to celebrate the organizations that have been certified as Top Employers in their respective countries this year."

About the Top Employer award
Each year, the Top Employer Institute surveys companies based on company-identified information using the "HR (Human Resource) Best Practices" questionnaire. The questionnaire covers six overarching HR dimensions and 20 HR areas, such as People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Well-being and Diversity & Inclusion. This year, the Top Employers Institute recognized over 1,857 Top Employers in 123 countries/regions, on five continents.

Metsä Tissue has participated in the Top Employer certification since 2020. Participation in the evaluation of human resources work by an independent institute according to national and international standards provides a clear benchmark of where the company stands and what areas for action can be derived. Comparisons with previous years make it possible to track the company's progress and development. This in turn helps Metsä Tissue to focus on the right priorities and implement effective measures.
