BTG Launches PROclean Yankee Dryer Refreshment Blade for Tissue Market

BTG announces the launch of the PROclean™ Yankee Dryer refreshment blade for the tissue market. This blade, composed of advanced composite material, is designed to quickly and safely clean hard organic coating from the Yankee surface and can be used in any sheet-off condition including at speed and higher temperatures.Benefits reported include significantly reduced vibration, reduced edge build up, and less web break and sheet defects. Used regularly as part of a Yankee surface management program, it is an effective tool against Yankee chatter and will extend regrind intervals, especially when used with the complimentary VigilancePRO™ Yankee performance monitoring and PROfile™ blade holder service solutions.

PROclean™ can be used on any blade holder without modification, without tools and requires only limited supervision; thus it is an effective and safe alternative to other cleaning methods. BTG also offers a rapid assessment of blade holder profiling and alignment based on analysis of a worn PROclean™ blade.
